Anonymous asked : Do you have anyone reading "Their Lonely Betters" by W.H. Auden?

Google and YouTube tell me that no one has done a reading of it, which is a shame, because it’s a gorgeous poem. If anyone wants to read it for themselves, you can find the poem here

— I have a trntbl now. Trntbls are cool.

To the anon who wanted to stream the poetry clips (and for anyone else who’s interested), you can listen to all the poems at my trntbl playlist, which can be found here

Thanks so much to mtsthelens for her help!

Anonymous asked : Is there any way I can continuously stream the poetry?

For someone who runs a blog on the Internet, I am oddly ill-versed in the ways of streaming audio. I think I’d better turn this over to my followers - anybody got an answer for this anon?

Futility” by Wilfred Owen

catchthelasttrain asked : Do you have An Irish Airman Foresees His Death and When I am Dead, My Dearest?

For the first poem, the only celebrity who has read it (besides the author himself) is Aiden Gillen. A clip of that can be found here. As for When I Am Dead, the only celebrity clip I’ve heard is that of Dame Peggy Ashcroft’s, which you can listen to here. I don’t know if those names were exactly what you’re looking for, but hopefully that helps!

An app by the name of iF Poems has come out recently, and while I am in no way affiliated with the project, I beg of you - purchase this app. It has marvelous recordings of poetry, and 10% of all sales of the app go to the Save the Children charity. The app can be found here

— In Which I Promise Not to Take Up Too Much of Your Time

Here’s some information/apologies, in proper chronological order:

  1. Sorry that I cannot update every day! Real life is, unfortunately, one of those massive time-vacuums that leave me absolutely drained by nightfall. Also, logically speaking, if I updated with a poem a day, this blog would be losing its livelihood very, very quickly. (There are only so many poems out there, unfortunately. This does not deter me, however, from trying to find all the poems. Ever. It will be done.)
  2. My message box has been absolutely wonky these last two weeks. If you have sent me a message, there is a good chance that I am only just now receiving it. So I promise to get back to you - please do not think I am some awful hermit who hides in her poetry cave and only comes out at night when no one’s around.
  3. The last part of number 2 might be true, actually.
  4. Anyway, once again, thank you for following, and I hope you enjoy the clips. Suggestions are always welcome!
